PRN: Laundry Washer & Dryer Operator

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations
1.    Job responsibilities include those listed in competencies document.
2.    Maintain a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. 
3.    Follow all safety procedures.
4.    Adhere to all infection control standards at all times.
5.    Report major machinery and linen problems immediately to management and/or maintenance.
6.    Report all downtime to management.
7.    Operate washers and dryers efficiently and ensure timing, temperatures, schedules, and weights are correct.
8.    Ensure linen is set on the appropriate overhead rail.
9.    Maintain records of dryer loads, number of washer transfers, and washer status reports daily.
10.    Maintain an average of 100% efficiency per hour for washers.
11.    Respond to washer and dryer alarms immediately.
12.    Maintain chemical levels.
13.    Put clean, stained (mark appropriately), soiled, and torn linen in proper places.
14.    Provide a clean environment for the health and safety of others.
15.    Must be able to frequently stand, walk, lift up to 100 lbs., and carry up to 50 lbs. 
16.    Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Qualifications /Training:
Must be able to meet expectations within qualifying period for equipment training, competencies, and responsibilities.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school or successful completion of WIN Testing or completion of McLeod approved Transition to Work Program.
