What You'll Do:
Utilize your nursing expertise as you provide LOVE + MEDICINE for a broad range of critical patients in our 20-bed Intensive Care Unit. Our Level II Trauma Intensive Care/Critical Care Unit is a fast-paced, 20-bed unit that provides patient- and family-centered care for a variety of high-acuity patients including post-cardiothoracic surgery, neurovascular interventions, ventilated patients, traumas, continuous renal replacement therapy, post-cardiac arrest care, and more. The Critical Care unit's multidisciplinary team consists of highly skilled RNs, Critical Care Technicians, Advanced Practice Nurses, Intensivists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and other support staff.
What's Available:
PRN 3 - Premium Pay Registered Nurse is a non-benefitted position for up to a maximum of 1 year
$69.00 per hour
Orientation and Education are paid at an alternate rate of pay based on your years of RN experience
Scheduled 72 hours biweekly
12-hour shifts - day/night rotation
Scheduled 2 weekends in 6-week scheduling period
What You'll Need:
Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing
RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
1 year or greater acute care ICU RN experience desired

Job Description:The RN functions as an advocate for the patient while providing the full scope of nursing care. He/she analyzes information, monitors patients and takes action to facilitate wellness and healing. The RN delegates and supervises assistive personnel. The RN role meets the expectations of a professional.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Assessment: Systematic and continual collection & analysis of data.
Uses knowledge of physiology to perform an independent assessment, analyze information, monitor, detect and anticipate early and subtle health status changes.Explores the patients understanding and knowledge of current health status.Understands the patient's unique perspective and assures that the patient is a part of their care.
2. Planning: Develops a patient-centered plan of care including goals and priorities in the interdisciplinary format.
3. Intervention: Nursing action to implement plan of care
4. Documentation:Documents nursing interventions, implementation, and patient/family response
5. Evaluation: Determination of a patient's progress or lack of progress.
Determines data to be collected to evaluate outcome of care.Evaluates, compares and interprets ambiguous and changing patient data.Effectively communicates data and response to care using the SBAR format.Reassesses patient status, modifies problem, makes judgments, decisions and modifies care.Reevaluates.
6. Delegation: Nursing delegation means acts designated to an LPN, Paramedic, or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) by the RN.
7. Practice of Leadership: Leadership is the ability to guide, direct, or influence people.
