PRN Paramedic/EMT - Onsite Health Services

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.  

Responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervisor of on or off-line medical control. 

Assist with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under the supervision of the Medical Director 

Administers and documents all waived testing and screenings according to department procedures in a manner that obtains the necessary medical information while maintaining confidentiality. 

Maintains stock and cleanliness of the supplies, department and equipment including their calibrations 

Ability to document in EMR systems 

Other duties as assigned by the Medical Director, department Director, Assistant Director, NP, or RN Coordinator 

Support daily operations and overall performance of the On-Site Occupational Health Center including patient care, services and related duties.  Implement appropriate medical interventions incorporating the providers prescribed plan of care and under the supervision of the on or off-line medical control. 

Work Schedule: PRN, as needed

Qualifications /Training: 

Will obtain Urine Drug Screen, Breath Alcohol, and Audiometry Certification provided by the department with On-Boarding  

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education: 

Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school 

Current SC Paramedic or EMT Certification

Current BLS Certification
