Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for the safe, accurate and rational distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees and designated areas of the hospital, as well as the supervision of technical personnel. This shall be carried out in accordance with all state and federal laws, JCAHO standards, and hospital / departmental policies and procedures.

Education:

Graduate of Pharmacy is required.

Experience:

Experience in an organized health system setting is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

Licensed as a Pharmacist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.
