We are seeking a skilled and reliable PRN (as needed) Phlebotomist to join our medical team. The position will be primarily for the Cumming, Johns Creek and Roswell locations. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform blood draw for platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. The ideal candidate will have exceptional phlebotomy skills and an understanding of PRP procedures. As a PRN Phlebotomist, you will work on an as-needed basis, providing support during busy periods or when additional coverage is required. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Requirements1. Phlebotomy Certification: Must hold a valid phlebotomy certification from an accredited program.
2. Experience: Demonstrated experience in phlebotomy, preferably with specific experience in drawing blood for platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections.
3. Knowledge of PRP Procedures: Familiarity with the process of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) preparation and injection techniques.
4. Flexibility: Ability to work PRN (as needed) across three different locations, adapting to varying schedules and patient volumes.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
6. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and collection of blood samples.
7. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using phlebotomy equipment and understanding proper techniques for venipuncture and capillary puncture.
8. Safety Compliance: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of infection and ensure the safety of patients and staff during blood collection.
9. Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, demonstrating empathy, respect, and confidentiality when interacting with patients.
10. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, APP’s and medical staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.
11. Time Management: Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently, especially when working across multiple locations.
