Epilepsy is a neurological condition involving the brain that makes people more susceptible to having recurrent, unprovoked seizures. Akron General runs an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, a four-bed monitoring unit, allowing epilepsy specialists to diagnose a seizure problem accurately and design the best possible treatment plan. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will perform routine and intermediate polysomnographic and electroencephalographic tests as well as provide technical analysis of the subsequent recordings. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Must have two years recent related nursing experience.
