*Description* *Title:*Procedure Scheduler - NHMP Danbury Gastroenterology/Digestive Health, Norwalk, CT - 40 hours per week, variable 8 hour shifts 7:30am - 4:00pm. Flexible schedule. ***This will be hybrid/remote position. Ability to work hybrid after the successful completion of the probationary period.* *Summary:*This position manages the scheduling and rescheduling of intricate clinical and high profitable procedures which equate to 4000 surgeries annually, 2000 endoscopy cases, and 300 EP services. Provides advanced level clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for physician practice operations. Schedules and manages pre-operative testing and post-op appointments, as well as, manages the approval process for self- pay patients needing surgery and procedures. *Responsibilities:* 1. Coordinates and schedules appointments and notifies authorization teams for testing, referrals, Endo procedures. 2. Responsibility to direct schedule endoscopy cases into the electronic scheduling systems for Nuvance Health hospitals, Nuvance Health Medical Practice, as well as multiple ambulatory surgery centers. 3. Completes ongoing training to develop proficiency and maintain access to additional external scheduling systems required to direct schedule procedures. 4. Has full accountability for the accuracy of facility and professional schedules. Audits both facility and professional scheduling templates for accuracy. 5. Requires knowledge of, and demonstrates proficiency in, the intricacies of ASC coding and billing, including a thorough understanding of differences in place of service and the different contracted insurance payors for ASCs. 6. Reconciles money and financial reports for daily office deposit. 7. Coordinates and maintains physician schedules including meetings, teaching, inpatient rounding. 8. Completes audits and assists with tracking and reporting of information as needed. 9. Schedules (and re-schedules as needed) high-end procedures. 10. Manages monthly/yearly schedules as related to Hospital block times and OR coordination. 11. Daily contact with Financial Clearance Department to assist patients with prior authorizations, self-pay packages, and payments options. Works with Financial Clearance Department and patients to ensure financial clearance and reimbursement. 12. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 13. Maintains and Models Nuvance Health Values. 14. Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance. 15. Performs other duties as required. *Other information:* *Required:*High School Diploma/GED. MS Outlook, Excel, data entry, excellent communication (verbal and written), Medical office experience. Minimum Experience: three years Desired: Medical procedure scheduling. EOE, including disability/vets.
