Process Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Business Consultant / Process Analyst, you play an important role in helping to define strategy for Combined Insurance’s business and managing the successful planning and execution of its strategic initiatives. A key focus will be driving operational excellence throughout the organization, in multiple departments from Finance to Operations and Claims. This role will partner with Process Owners to optimize processes, analyze data and pursue opportunities for improvement and/or automation. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand end-to-end business processes and translate those processes into activity flows, data maps, business rules or decision models, screen flows and keystroke level detail according to an agreed standard. Coordinate with subject matter experts to create and maintain accurate and complete process documentation, including standard operating procedures, workflows, business rules and protocols. Establish volume counts from systems and undertake time studies to determine headcount on the process. Harvest as-is business performance and process information according to a defined standard to perform as-is process analysis and assessment within a defined scope. Participate in Failure Mode & Effect Analysis to identify and mitigate or eliminate items inhibiting process optimization, inclusive of training and upskilling for better performance. Apply problem solving techniques to problems / opportunities identified within a defined project scope for the Process Owner or business lead. Provide input to business requirement/user stories and acceptance criteria to be approved by the Product Owner. Support delivery of process improvements, inclusive of change management and benefits validation.

SKILLS:

Green Belt Certification in training or equivalent project experience is a plus.Excel, PowerPoint, Visio (or other similar software).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.1-3 years of demonstrated experience in process improvement.

The pay range for the role is $54,000 to $86,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
