PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. Job Description

The process & equipment engineer’s role is to ensure operability of Turning Chamber in the SMI line, to ensure achievement of output targets of the equipment and yield targets of the products, to ensure achievement of unscheduled downtime targets, to ensure cycle time targets of the equipment and products and to ensure set up of new machines in a timely manner.

 

 

Perform maintenance according to maintenance plan on UTC and calibration.Analysis of downtime reasons of the equipment, mechanical, electrical and electronic repairing of the equipment. Release of equipment according engineering specificationLocalization of failures on measurement boards, PCBs and repair of boards.Mechanical, electrical alignment of the equipment according to supplier specificationAutonomous adaption and extension of circuit diagrams according to engineering specificationFirst contact person regarding appointments with equipment suppliers and regarding questions of the equipment suppliers. Monitoring of due dates. Technical discussions with supplier, engineering.Develop measures to reduce failures, to improve quality and output and to reduce costs together with the engineeringAnalysis of failures on carriers and their repair. Maintenance of carriersPlacing into operation of carriers according to specification.Align all changes with lead plant engineering8D responsibility and hold lots disposeInstruction of Operators/Technicians in alignment with production Mgmt.Work in production.Support FMEA and Control PlanEnsure spare parts availabilityExecute any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time.

QualificationsMinimum 3 years to 5 years working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferable at least 3 years of maintenance & process experienceAt least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical or relevant with semiconductor machine maintenance exposureCandidates must be proactive in discussion with ability to recommend & propose solutionsPossess basic mechanical, electrical and electronical skillsPossess strong communication skills and able to transfer technical knowledge with various operations team membersAble to organize project, lead the team to meet the required project plans and schedules that integrate resources, tasks and timelinesAble to perform analysis, repairs on PCB & equipment with refrigeration & chamber exposureAbility in using logic and reasoning & accurate to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches on problems & proposal on cost reduction and improvement measuresAbility to solve problem using Systematic Problem-Solving methodology e.g., Poka Yoke conceptAbility to lead technical discussion together with equipment supplier and engineering teamAbility to instruct operators on how to fulfil their tasksOpen for business trip and able to travel to China and Germany for training
