In this role, the AR-Collections Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely collection and resolution of customer invoices from accounts receivable.
He/She will work closely with internal departments, such as Sales, Customer Service, to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies that may affect collections to maintain a healthy accounts receivable portfolio.
Responsibilities
• Maintenance of school accounts – including collection of invoices, resending of invoices when needed, sending aging reports and notifying customer of past due balances.
• Maintenance of Farm Mortality accounts - including collection of invoices, resending of invoices when needed, sending aging reports and notifying customer of past due balances.
• Working with Portal customers – Creating portal cases, pulling customer payment information and noting invoice details.
• Pulling POD’s for both Fresh Meats and PPF invoices.
• Order Release
• Pulling wires from JP Morgan website
• EDI I-Trade Kickout Reporting – Reviewing e-mails, downloading invoice copies, and e-mailing to respective contacts.
• EDI 997 Updates – Reviewing e-mails and updating invoice line items with vendor # info and additional information.
• Maintenance on master data – Possible MICR (bank data) information, Remit info, etc
• Provide recommendations to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Preferably with previous experience in accounts receivable, deductions management, or a related financial role
• Familiarity with accounting software, ERP (High Radius) systems and Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Preferably from Food/Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry but not required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a team and with good interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and implement effective solutions
• Understanding of the industry and customer-specific requirements
• Experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional team
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
