Intern Orientation Highlights
Internship Program Requirements:
Educational Background: Pursuing a four-year degree with an expected graduation between December 2025 and Summer 2027. Must have overall 2.8GPA
Transportation: Interns must have their own transportation to and from work.
Geographical Flexibility: Willing to relocate to one of our ADM locations.
Background Check: Successful completion of a background check is required.
Availability: Must be available for a summer internship from mid-May to early August 2025.

Description:
The Process Automation Engineer Intern will provide plant support and development of process automation systems to ensure Operations are successful through guidance, troubleshooting, and standard work. They will work with Operations and other technology centers to execute projects while applying global standards. They will proactively seek opportunities for process automation to mitigate risk, improve efficiency, and drive optimization projects. They will support and advance the standardization and documentation of process automation systems.
The Process Automation Engineer Intern will also contribute to plant culture by supporting safety initiatives and Performance Excellence.
Job Requirements:
Develop or modify Process Automation controls to achieve desired control processes, and troubleshoot systems to identify and resolve hardware or software deficiencies
Develop and maintain documentation of process automation hardware and software related to process automation control systems
Understands and is accountable for full compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety requirements
Maintain a thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment and operations in the interest of developing, improving and maintaining process and safety interlocks
Communicate status updates and suggestions for improvements
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Highly motivated, self-starter
Preferred Experience/Education:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
