In this role, the Process Department Manager will serve operational team members focusing on daily management and coordination of production, crewing, safety, quality, costs, efficiency, people development, and performance management. **In this role, you will:** + ​Cultivate and drive a safety and quality mindset, culture as the TOP priority where people work together to address and act on unsafe behaviors, conditions. Ensuring all quality checks are completed acting on any variances to resolution protecting our customers and reducing plant impacts. + Fostering a skill progression system that builds the right technical, behavioral and leadership skills across the department. + Leading and enabling the use of Clorox's systems such as SAP, Synergy, and Manufacturing Executional System (MES) + Manage and develop LSW for your department leaders through one on one connects and training. + Lead team management of daily TRACC Tier Board meetings and follow ups through team member engagement, training. + Developing and championing a Plan Do Check Act (PDCA), tying department initiatives to the divisional objectives, that also leverages Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) principles + Actively working in conjunction and with team leadership and the Plant Operations Leader on strategic solutions and resource needs, while contributing to our people first culture. + Develop and enhance working relationships with the various support teams in the plant to meet targets, goals and department needs. (GME, TST, Maintenance Reliability, Engineering, etc) + Support plant projects and initiatives in the department working with but not limited to Change Management, Plant Leadership, Engineering, outside contractors. + Manage head count, overtime, weekend requirements for department based on business and budgetary needs. + Partner and work with other department managers on overall team and plant needs, targets, labor, cost and operations day to day. + Support for 24-hour operation, flexibility, working off shifts periodically, taking calls from plant and acting to support. + Provides day-to-day chemical / process / engineering technical expertise to the process operations / team. + Maintain and develop strong working relationships within a team based environment (internally and externally) + Work effectively with Maintenance, Planning, Distribution, Engineering, plant leadership and Corporate functions, as necessary. + Support new product and projects; providing functional expertise, as required. + Liaising with customers and colleagues to co-ordinate product trials and launches. + Encourage and develop enthusiastic / empowered ownership by the Associates. + Provide constructive, supportive and timely feedback to Associates through ongoing check-ins + Hire / schedule staff and ensure verify all Associates in the department have received necessary training and are following all applicable processes / procedures. + Improve the organization through effective resource management, cost reductions, and departmental improvements that impact efficiency, where applicable. + Identify cost savings and continuously reduce waste in the department. + Effectively manage crewing to minimize labor cost. + Work with the Coordinator / Leads / higher level Associates to ensure consistency of work across shifts. + Identify and recommend new/upgrading of equipment and/or methods to improve productivity and capacity. + Conduct investigation on batching issues, incidents and deviations to assure that root causes are identified and appropriate corrective action actions are taken and/or implemented. + Communicate with R&D / Production Services, Quality, and Operations to ensure products are manufactured to specifications. + Reviews documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance to standards are obtained, where required. + Proactively looks for areas of improvement in both process and personnel capabilities + All other duties assigned by manager. **What we look for:** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution + 3+ years of operational and / or technical experience with a proven track record indicating an ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. + 3+ years of leadership experience + 5 years of experience in a plant manufacturing environment and / or in the area of formulation / product development and implementation. + Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. + Proven experience in manufacturing environments + Demonstrated experience in managing direct reporting employees, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team. + Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for effective documentation, data analysis, and presentations. + Familiarity with SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for tracking inventory, production processes, and order management. + Experience in identifying process inefficiencies and implementing continuous improvement strategies in a manufacturing setting to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness. + Position will require the candidate to support a 24 hour / 5 day a week manufacturing operation across 3 shifts \#LI-Onsite **Workplace type:** Onsite **We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
