As a Process Development Intern, you will have the chance to collaborate with our team of Development Chemists, offering technical support and expertise for the chemical development of processes in our advanced laboratory, kilo laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing plants. This position provides an opportunity to be engaged in the complete process, from route development to scale-up and implementation on a plant scale.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical and laboratory support for the introduction of new products to the Cork site, ensuring flawless execution from route development to implementation on plant scale.Support development projects in the laboratory, including route development, proof of concept, and process robustness studies.Undertake compound synthesis under the guidance of experienced chemists.Contribute to team collaboration and adopt innovative ways of working.Regularly communicate with other team members to ensure seamless coordination.General laboratory support, including chemical storage, database updates, risk assessments, and sample shipping.Perform all duties in a compliant manner, adhering strictly to our Dignity at Work Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and our values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.

Requirements:

Knowledge and interest in synthetic organic chemistry.Ability to think critically and innovatively, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.Embrace and participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives to drive improvements and cost savings.Support the Technical Development Chemist in various tasks.Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
