The Sandefjord manufacturing site specializes in making active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and dietary supplements of highly-concentrated omega-3 fatty acids.
Around 150 people are based at the Sandefjord site and covers functions such as Quality management, R&D, Process- and Plant development, finance and HR.
• Contribute to optimal use of our existing production facilities in order to perform the production in the most efficient and sustainable way
• Cooperate with laboratory technicians and production team on testing of new and improved processes in laboratory, pilot scale and production scale
• Generate ideas related to new and improved production processes
• Collect and manage extensive data from production environment and perform statistical / multivariate data analysis
• Implement new ideas in the production plant
• Establish production processes for new products on site
• Manage projects related to the above bullet points
• Use of computer-based simulation models for existing and new processes
• Strong scientific background with minimum a master’s degree in chemistry, Food Science and Technology or other relevant subjects
• Experience from chemical or pharmaceutical industry
• Interest in using computer-based tools (Minitab, Excel, simulation software etc) for problem solving and statistical data analysis
• Experience from process design and process improvement work
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English. Ability to communicate complex scientific matters clearly and concisely towards colleagues, collaboration partners, suppliers and others
• Strategic and analytical capabilities, coupled with persistency, drive and ability to get things done!
• Proactive team player with energy and drive and eager to learn
