Process Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Euclid, Ohio

Perform engineering assignments by applying basic engineering principles, and following specific procedures, standards and methods

 

Job Responsibilities:

Adhere to contract technical requirements while developing, and maintaining, step-by-step process plans in the manufacturing of Control Rod Drive Mechanisms. Monitor manufacturing processes and implement improvements to ensure processes are safe, maintain high quality and are performed efficiently to meet delivery and cost requirements. Generate SAP routings based on step-by-step process plans. Develop CAD drawings detailing step-by-step process plans, process fixturing, process tooling, and process setup instructions. Design, develop, test/source, and cost-justifiy various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. Work with other internal departments, customer and vendors to resolve issues encountered during the manufacturing process. Propose, support and participate in continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, delivery or cost. Participate in R&D projects by providing technical support to assure prototypical hardware meets guidelines. Assist in technical training of new hires. Minor business travel may be required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology degree. Entry level to Senior candidates will be considered, salary commensurate with experience. Professional Engineer is a plus.  Strong communications skills, and ability to work with multiple disciplines in support of manufacturing production hardware. Positive attitude and energy. Manufacturing/machining background is preferred. Microsoft Office, SAP, TopSolid, Siemens NX, Vericut, and Crash Guard Studio experience is preferred. NC programming capability is preferred.

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $77,000 and $112,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
