Job Description
We are excited to announce a unique opportunity at a brand new, state-of-the-art facility located in Kokomo, IN. Our facility develops, manufactures, and supplies core materials for high-tech industries such as semiconductors, displays, and batteries through domestic and overseas subsidiaries. Specifically, we are a supplier of electrodes for StarPlus Energy, a joint venture between Samsung SDI and Stellantis, which builds lithium-ion battery plants. Our goal is to increase North America's electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing capacity and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers. As a Process Engineer, you will be the first hire within this group, playing a critical role in setting up and documenting new processes, supporting day-to-day production tasks, and working cross-functionally with various departments.
ResponsibilitiesWork with Operations Managers and Process Operators to support daily production tasks.Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment functionality and continuous improvement.Collaborate with the Quality department and other teams as needed.Play a significant role in establishing and documenting new processes.Contribute to the growth and development of the team and company.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related engineering/scientific field.2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.Bilingual in Korean and English.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in process engineering, process control, and process development/improvement.Work Environment
This is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility that is temperature controlled. The work environment includes a modern office, lobby, break rooms, and restrooms. The manufacturing floor features large blender/mixer machines for product production. Currently, there are about 30 employees with plans to grow to a total of 75. The position is for a day shift (1st shift) from Monday to Friday, with overtime available and sometimes required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00
