Process Engineer

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer to support the operations of the plant and department through process improvement initiatives as assigned by the Department Manager within the Tile Cutting Dept.
The Process Engineer assists with troubleshooting issues and defect analysis for manufacturing issues.  This position also assists in the development and implementation of manufacturing methods and processes that support product quality, quantity, goals, and objectives.

Responsibilities:

This position provides technical assistance to the departmental manager, supervisors, associates, and internal customers on a daily basis.The Process Engineer will be responsible for driving TPM initiatives and cost improvements, investigating off-quality situations, as well as monitoring and analyzing departmental performance through reports, feedback and observations.This role will be responsible for driving capital projects and coordinating efforts between a cross-functional team to achieve project success.

Requirements:

4-year degree required; Engineering degree preferredStrong communication skills (written and oral)Strong project management skillsSix Sigma Black Belt trained or willing to complete trainingProficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite (preferred)Previous manufacturing experience (preferred)

Based on experience, position can be filled as S05 or S06 (Sr).
