Process Engineer
**JOB SUMMARY:** The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving stamping processes or powder coating processes while fostering a collaborative team environment. + Works by our core values: + Be eager to learn. + Deliver above and beyond. + Be a team player. + Focus on solutions. + Embrace change. + Gets it, wants it and has the capacity to do it. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** **Leadership & Team Management:** + Supervise and provide guidance to a team of up to 15 direct reports, fostering a positive and productive work environment. + Mentor and train team members on best practices, safety protocols, and process improvements. **Process Development & Optimization:** + Develop and implement metal stamping processes or powder coating processes for new and existing products. + Optimize processes to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and reduce scrap rates. + Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot issues related to stamping machinery and processes. **Tooling & Equipment:** + Collaborate with toolmakers and design engineers to develop and refine stamping dies and tools. + Oversee the proper setup and maintenance of equipment. + Recommend and implement tooling and machinery upgrades to improve performance. **Quality Assurance:** + Ensures products meet industry standards and customer expectations. + Establish and maintain process control plans and perform regular audits for compliance. **Continuous Improvement:** + Drive initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times, waste, and production costs. + Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks. **Safety & Compliance:** + Ensure processes and equipment meet safety regulations and standards. + Conduct safety training for operators and production staff. **Documentation & Reporting:** + Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process flow diagrams. + Prepare and present reports on production metrics, process improvements, and downtime analysis. **JOB QUALIFICATIONS:** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience + 3-5 years of experience in metal stamping or a related manufacturing process. Experience in Powder coating is desirable. + Proficient in metal stamping technologies, tooling design, and material properties. + Skilled in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools. + Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills. + Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards. + Familiarity with ERP systems. **Physical Demands** + Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures. + Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed. + Lifting, carrying, and handling parts and tools up to 40 pounds without assistance **Pay Details:** $40.00 to $55.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
