Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is seeking a motivated candidate to support our domestic manufacturing facility. This role involves supporting vertically integrated factories, ensuring we deliver top-quality solutions to our customers.
As a Process Engineer, a typical day will include the following:
Design, document, and 3D-print simple mechanical tools and fixtures.
Update 2D factory layouts in AutoCAD; provide production flow best practice feedback.
Support time studies, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and productivity metrics.
Assist with equipment selection and validation to support increased automation.
Assist with improvement projects using Jira, Confluence, and project management skills.
Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
Understand. Create. Simplify.

B.S. in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years' experience in process development in a related world class manufacturing company.
Ability to lead a cross functional team.

Project management experience.

Knowledge of statistics as applied to process capability measurements.
Effective writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

Salary Range Data:
We anticipate filling this position as a Process Engineer: $66,800 - $104,600 per year. Associate Process Engineer: $58,200 - $91,200 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
