Process Engineer

Job Purpose:
To perform engineering tasks that require the application of technical expertise, process monitoring, and adherence to safety standards to improve plant operations and achieve optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute conventional engineering tasks using established knowledge, standards, and regulations. Develop engineering plans and documentation with guidance from senior engineers when needed. Validate internal and third-party process design work for compliance with standards and procedures. Identify and escalate complex plant issues to senior engineers for timely resolution. Analyze plant and process data, recommending changes to optimize operations. Provide guidance and support to junior team members. Maintain high HSE standards and promote safe working practices. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) related to process issues. Utilize office tools (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for daily business needs. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline. 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 10 years with a diploma. Vendor-certified training in simulation tools (e.g., UNISIM, ASPEN Plus). Certifications in process safety, such as Process Safety Auditor, PH&A Analysis, and Incident Investigation. Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in project management, risk management, and decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of process design, equipment, and instrumentation. Familiarity with operational safety, process safety management, and statistical analysis. Ability to plan and organize effectively, even under pressure. Technical Skills:
Expertise in process instrumentation, control valves, and process control engineering. Experience in manufacturing processes, petrochemical technologies, and operational processes. Proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis. Familiarity with chemical reactions, heat transfer, and separation techniques.
