Process Engineer

As a Process Engineer, you’ll work cross-functionally to build capability in people and processes while supporting your team’s goals of safety, quality, service, cost, and sustainability. If you see challenges as opportunities, are passionate about large-scale food manufacturing, and have a strong intellectual curiosity to understand how and why processes work, this role could be a great fit for you! You’ll be working with the team that produces Rice Krispies Treats at the Rome, GA site. This is an on-site day shift role with flexibility needed for after-hours as required.
The team you’ll join is dedicated and collaborative, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence. You’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects such as safety improvements, new product launches, cost savings, and mix/bake improvements.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
+ Support and Lead KSUM Productivity Projects - Take charge of KSUM (Kellanova Start Up Management) productivity projects. Collaborate closely with the Continuous Improvement Manager and Engineering Team from conceptualization to implementation. You will lead at least two cost savings projects annually.
+ Processes and Best Practices – Lead plant production processes to improve process flow, reduce inventory costs, decrease area loss, and implement efficiency-promoting practices. Share key learnings and best practices to ensure operational excellence across all shifts and lines.
+ Leading by Example and Coaching – Develop high-performing teams using Kellanova Work Systems tools to identify and analyze losses, develop solutions, and create control plans.
+ Driving KPIs and Work Standards – Develop and lead plant manufacturing standards for production lines, implementing and tracking progress through KPIs.
+ Providing Technical Support – Offer professional support on production processes, equipment requirements, standards, and specifications.
We’re Looking for Someone With
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical field or HS Diploma/ GED with relevant work experience
+ Experience in safety, ingredient management, manufacturing processes, packaging processes, quality and food safety, GMP, and Lean Six Sigma principles within manufacturing environments
Compensation
The annual salary range is $104,700 - $137,445, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
