This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
**Job Purpose and Impact**
The Process Engineer applies engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement and project management skills in a plant support capacity that ensures safe, efficient and low-cost plant operations.
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Review and recommend manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.
+ Assesses current manufacturing equipment and processes and makes recommendations for changes.
+ Helps troubleshoot equipment and process performance. Shows results in reports.
+ Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
+ Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
+ Possesses working knowledge of engineering.
+ Minimum of two years of related work experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Lean Certification or desired to become certified.
+ Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or desired to become certified.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications.
+ Understanding of PI (data historian).
