You will belong to a positive Engineering team, which consists of 9 engineers from different backgrounds. The team supports the site and production with short and long term technical solutions for components, products and processes. During the coming years, the site in Uppsala is in a technical transformation, replacing existing EOL technology and machinery with new and for the right person there is now an opportunity to join this exciting journey! Key Responsibilities: + Lead technical and process improvement projects including Root Cause Problem Solving, mapping and analysis of existing processes to secure the quality, delivery and cost targets to support Operations and Supply Chain teams. + Develop and optimise new and existing manufacturing processes using lean and process excellence tools. + Develop and execute Test Plans and Process Validation activities. + May be assigned Project Leadership responsibilities on a portion of a larger project or a small to medium project including planning, scheduling, cost control and project budget management. + Interacts frequently with other functions within the organization both locally and globally. + Management of external contractors and vendors + Lifecycle management of direct device component specifications **Qualifications** Qualifications Education: + Education Level: BSc or MSc. in Material Science, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field. Experience and Skills: Required: + Minimum of 3 experience in a Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering role within a regulated industry preferably within the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical sector. + Excellent analytical capabilities with a drive to challenge the status quo; eager to learn; puts the team first; robust and passionate to follow given objectives; uses failure as learning experience; excellent communicator with a high sense of urgency. + Experience performing data analysis, creating technical documentation and presenting results + Experience performing investigations and root cause failure analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions + Strong communication skills at different levels of the organization. + Demonstrates desire to continually learn, grow, excel and develop new ideas. + High level of self-motivation and the ability to take the initiative. Preferred: + Certification in Six sigma or Lean Manufacturing or working towards certification is desirable. + Experience from Computerized Systems Validation is desirable.
