Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our team. This position will be supporting our Propulsion Systems Division in our Process Engineering team at our Promontory Utah Plant.

Role Description & Responsibilities:
Developing and improving manufacturing processes in the Propellant Mix/Cast area
Spending time in the operations area observing and monitoring propellant mixing and casting processes
Performing cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defects
Working with concurrent engineering team to create Build-to-Packages (i.e. engineering and planning documents)
Authoring, updating and reviewing shop floor planning
Preparing and presenting technical presentations to VSET, leadership, and to the customers for review and approval
Performing table top reviews
Using SPC tools to ensure process control
Developing and incorporating process improvements
Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions
Supporting design, checkout, qualification and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipment
Assist in the process development and manufacturing of propellant premix, propellant mixing chemical synthesis, and AP grinding for various programs.

This position may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2.

Experience Requirements:
Candidate with 0 to 2 years of engineering experience.

Good problem-solving skills and strong oral and written communication skills

Salary Range: $63,900.00 - $95,900.00Salary Range 2: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
