Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance: Partner with Quality Assurance to assure that all building-related equipment and automation systems meet corporate standards, including, but not limited to drawing management, version management, commissioning, qualification, validation, change management, and system maintenance.Capital Project Management: Manage all aspects of capital projects. Includes identifying user requirements, executing commissioning & qualification activities, budgeting, cost management, and scheduling to meet business and customer expectations.Lead and own Temperature Mapping program for North America Logistics Operations. Includes developing protocols, execution of mapping, and reporting.Support local Building Management System (BMS) by completing quarterly temperature reporting.Lead and own Pest Control Program for Plainfield DC. Provide support to Regional DCs with the Pest Control Program.Oversee Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Program for NALO and act as administrator for iWarehouse (PIT fleet management system to achieve warehouse optimization).Develop, implement, and maintain equipment maintenance strategies to optimize its safe operation, compliance (HSE & cGMP), cost, and efficiency/effectiveness of assets. Perform Continuous Improvement of maintenance instructions and job plans for accuracy, efficiency, and in support of compliance with applicable regulations.Equipment/Facilities Support: Support maintenance and operations (on assigned equipment set) to ensure all building systems and equipment meet current and future customer and regulatory requirements. Act as the Responsible Engineer (or backup) for North American Logistics Operations facilities as defined in engineering standards and local SOP’s.Safety: Model safe behaviors within daily work. Provide support to the operational areas to address any safety concerns. Execute projects and activities according to HSE requirements.Provide frontline support for automation systems (ASRS, Goods-to-Person systems, Conveyance, Palletizers, etc.)Data Integrity: Responsible for ensuring data integrity and good documentation practices while performing job tasks.Basic Qualifications:
BS Engineering2 years of work experience within an operation / manufacturing environment.Additional Skills/Preferences:
Knowledge of cGMP, SAP, Trackwise (QMS), Metasys (BMS), and GMARS (CMMS).Understanding of temperature mapping processes, devices, and software.Experience with Change Management, Deviation Management, Periodic Reviews, Commissioning & Qualification, Routine Data Monitoring / Reporting.Root cause analysis and problem solving (CAPA).Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles to process understanding, problem solving and process improvement.Experience with the principles of lean manufacturing to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.Ability to function in a team environment.Effectively manage and prioritize competing priorities.Strong verbal and written communications skills. This role must effectively communicate with Management, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, IT, HSE, and outside regulatory inspectors. Must provide regular updates, conduct meetings, and produce presentations.Strong self-management and organizational skills.Additional Information:
Engineer will be provided a cell phone and is expected to provide off-hours support for critical equipment issues or special projects.
