Here’s the Gist:
In this role you will work in the Bond and Grind, Plating Module Engineering team to qualify, configure, and maintain various semiconductor tools as well as sustain processes in the department. This position will work a modified schedule of Tuesday - Saturday 8am - 5pm.
The Day-to-Day:
- Interface closely with on-site vendor FSEs and gain expertise on tool upkeep and future improvement activities.
- Be the subject matter expert all things Mechanical + Electronics for various wafer processing tools such as bonders, grinders, cleaners, platers and mounters. Lead understanding of tool schematics and hardware configurations to eventually own troubleshooting and maintaining uptime on these tools.
- Use SPC methodology to maintain and improve process yields by doing continuous improvement projects.
- Respond to process excursions, scrap events expeditiously and own timely resolution and implementing corrective actions to prevent future events while maintaining thorough communication with key stakeholders.
- Effectively use tools such as AutoCAD, Solidworks and ability to read line diagrams as well as conduct failure analysis/root cause analysis on down tools/components and design upgrade/modifications. Implement said modifications in a controlled manner.
- Create and modify procedures and preventative maintenance specifications to increase tool availability and enhance training procedures
- Present technical data and project updates to peers and management
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment
- Proficiency in technical writing and presentations
- Prior experience in processes such as Grinding, CMP, Lapping, polishing, Chemical Plating is a plus.
