Scope Of Position:

As a Process Engineer at Corning, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving processes across our global facilities. Your role will involve implementing innovative process solutions and enhancing existing systems to optimize manufacturing operations. You will utilize your expertise in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies to address and resolve process-related issues.

Day to Day Responsibilities: Design and develop new processes or improve existing processes at Corning facilities worldwide. Solve problems and improve processes based on fundamental understanding, root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods such as KT, Designed Experimentation, or Six Sigma. Implement Process Control and Process Discipline systems into manufacturing operations. Analyze process data using statistical tools (e.g. pareto, regression, time charting, analysis of variance, gauge R&R, etc.) Measure and communicate performance against established objectives. Review and interpret data to make recommendations on immediate actions, long term corrective actions, follow-up experiments, etc. Develop and document operating processes and train operators and peers on defined processes. Collaborate with teams across R&D, production, and quality to troubleshoot and solve challenges. Required Education and Years of Experience: We require a BS in Engineering or Material Science. We prefer a BS chemical engineering, ceramic engineering, or mechanical engineering. 0+ years of experience in engineering/manufacturing. Required Skills: Rigorous problem solving – Including ability to learn and use techniques such as DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma. Decision making based on data. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively. Proactive approach to problem solving and project execution. Desired Skills: Effective presentation and communication skills. Process excellence (Six Sigma) Green Belt or higher. Capable of leading small process development / improvement projects. Innovation experience. Experience completing projects in a manufacturing organization. Travel Requirements:

Must be available for significant travel, primarily domestic, to multiple locations to support business needs.  Potential for international travel.  We estimate travel at 25-50%

The range for this position is $69,791.00 - $95,963.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
