Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and improve process capabilities using appropriate tools and methodologies. You will analyze numerical data to identify patterns and relationships, review KPI monitoring systems, and drive a continuous improvement culture using Lean Manufacturing and Engineering systems. Additionally, you will support New Product Introduction activities and provide production support through documented process setups and troubleshooting.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and improve process capabilities using appropriate tools and methodologies.Analyze numerical data to identify patterns and relationships, enabling the development of optimal workflows and processes.Review Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring systems, prepare related reports, and leverage technology to achieve goals.Drive and champion a continuous improvement culture, eliminating waste and improving processes using Lean Manufacturing and Engineering systems, and participating in lean activities such as Kaizen Workshops.Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and new product quote processes, including process descriptions, packaging, process FMEA, and control plans.Create and deliver training documents; mentor Engineers and Technicians to enhance individual and team capabilities.Provide production support through documented process setups, monitoring, planning, and adjustments; troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and materials for samples and production.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.Proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, and Macros.Previous Manufacturing/Project Management experience from projects/internships.Experience in process improvement, manufacturing processes, and lean manufacturing.Knowledge of ISO, AS, and QS 9000 quality systems.Strong skills in SolidWorks.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing techniques, including design of cell layout, one piece flow of product, and tool design.Strong Outlook skills.Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite with a start time of 7 or 8 AM, working 40 hours per week. The work environment is moderate to loud, involving work around equipment and machinery. About 40% of the time will be spent in an office setting and 60% on the production floor. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required. Our company culture is supportive, with opportunities for growth as employees have started out as interns and advanced to managerial positions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
