Job Description
Designs process systems, improves current processes, and resolves process-related manufacturing issues. Responsible for managing capital projects to include cost-effective capital acquisitions, upgrades, installations, and required documentation.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor production processes and review procedures to ensure the manufacture of products.Facilitate problem solving (root cause analysis) within process systems and equipment, including evaluation studies and trial runs.Provide manufacturing support, troubleshooting, and required reporting protocols for plant utilities/services including the plant air supply system, plant explosion protection system, plant process water system(s), and plant wastewater treatment system.Redesign and/or modify existing processes and procedures to solve problems or improve procedures.Design and implement new processes, evaluate profitability, cost structure, and prepare written justification.Prepare bid criteria for vendors for approved capital equipment purchases.Coordinate and oversee the installation of new equipment and processes through start-up, debug, operation, and written procedures.Act as a technical liaison between new product development initiatives and integration into manufacturing operations, including technology transfer, scale-up, process optimization, and validation activities.Essential SkillsBS degree in Engineering or Science (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry)4+ years of Process Engineering experienceExperience handling hazardous chemicals/waste streamsExperience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing conceptsAdditional Skills & QualificationsSix Sigma Green Belt certification, or higherConceptual understanding of electronics, including PLC ladder logicPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
