**DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented Process Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Lakewood, NY location.

+ **Process Documentation** : By producing clear and accurate manufacturing procedures, you'll establish continuity and standardization in processes.
+ **Problem Solving:** You'll use systematic analysis to solve problems, mentor others, and implement robust, data-based solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ **Manufacturing Process Implementation:** Assist with creating and implementing manufacturing processes to meet safety, manufacturing, business, and product specifications.
+ **Application of Manufacturing Principles:** Apply your knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices to improve equipment and processes.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Use continuous improvement tools to develop manufacturing standards and working methods.
+ **Collaboration:** Work with internal and external resources on specific project assignments, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
+ **Learning and Development** : Continuously learn and apply manufacturing principles and practices as they are used at Cummins.
+ **Manufacturing Engineering Skills:**
1. Design and procure equipment.
2. Be familiar with torque tools (e.g., Atlas Copco, Bosch, Stanley).
3. Have experience with CAD modeling (Solidworks, Pro-E, or Catia) and 3D printing.
4. Understand layout design.
+ **Quality Engineering Skills:**
1. Use problem-solving tools, PFMEAs, and Control Plans.
2. Apply data analytics and data mining techniques in decision-making.
3. Be familiar with PowerBI, Minitab, and gaging techniques (calibration, validation, etc.).
+ **Operations Experience:** Have experience or familiarity with a manufacturing plant or a similar fast-paced environment that requires teamwork and collaboration.
+ **Project Management:** Utilize your project management experience to oversee and drive projects to successful completion.
**Education, Licenses, Certifications:**
College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
**Experience:**
Basic level of relevant work experience required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
This is a high performance role working at the Cummins Jamestown Engine Plant, a world class manufacturing facility for heavy duty engines. The Process Engineer role has combined responsibilities for manufacturing and quality engineering for a section of the assembly line.
Work experience: this role requires 2-5 years of relevant manufacturing work experience. Its an ON-SITE position.
Preferred skills:
+ Manufacturing Engineering - equipment design and procurement; familiarity with torque tools (such as Atlas Copco, Bosch, Stanley); experience with CAD modeling (Solidworks, Pro-E, or Catia) and 3D printing; familiarity with layout design, etc.
