Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer Co-op Student to join our dynamic team at the Ottawa Plant. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on real-world projects, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Process Manager, the Process Engineer- Co-op is responsible for learning and developing engineering, project management, and leadership skills while actively undertaking and accomplishing assignments assigned to them.
The incumbent supports the Process team in the development, execution, and closing of capital projects.
Essential Functions:
Acquire and use practical and technical knowledge of the processes related to Manufacturing of Insulation Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes. Complete tasks related to monitoring/trending and troubleshooting manufacturing processes Assist with troubleshooting and solving problems related to process efficiency and product quality. Assist in investigations through data compilation and statistical analysis to determine root cause to atypical events Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to monitor process performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flow diagrams. Compilation and analysis of process data. Presenting results and preparing reports Assist in designing, testing, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality. Use of SAP enterprise software to source information and navigate business operationsHour work : 8 am to 430 pm Monday to Friday (the hours may vary)
