Responsibilities

Develop analytical models and algorithms that describe OLED evaporation process and device characteristics.Provide GPM and engineering teams a required system & source configuration per customer’s needs considering the process capabilities of Applied’s OLED evaporatorIdentify key design parameters to meet the target specifications and performances, and provide engineering teams the design requirements.Support process development team members to configure proper HW setup and process conditions for both lab validation and field process activities.

Applied Materials Specific Knowledge

Understand the process capability of Applied’s OLED evaporator and its components.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Basic understanding on physics, chemistry, and mathematicsPhysical modeling capability particularly inVacuum evaporation processThin film opticsElectrical characteristics of OLED (or semi-conductor devices)Geometric modeling capability to analyze vapor flux distribution under geometric constraintsBasic programming skills (e.g., scripting in Excel VBA and/or MATLAB or Python)

Conceptual Skills

Work independently with minimum guidanceAnalytical thinking: Quickly outline factors and perspectives affecting a problem, performance, and behavior.Problem solving: Generate plausible hypothesis and create potential technical solutions.Communication: Explain complex problems and/or thinking and/or solution ideas in a logical way and interpret them into simple overview as necessary.

Bachelor’s degree in physics or material science or similar qualification

Willing to travel up to 10% and work 5 days in office
