Process Engineer II- New College Graduate (Master's)
The primary focus of this position is to explore and adapt new methodologies of machine learning and artificial intelligence to develop innovative process formulations, define Display equipment requirements and specifications, and review processing techniques and methods used in product manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation. Involvement in these projects may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. The key goals are to improve the efficiency of test data compilation and evaluation by automating repetitive data sorting and trend identification using machine learning models to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications, and to increase AIx adaptation through effective data analysis models. This position also involves coordinating design requirement reviews with engineering and scientific professionals to minimize recurring engineering design issues and supplier quality issues through data analysis. Additionally, the role may include conceptualizing and planning projects by defining and selecting new concepts and approaches in equipment automation technologies, process development, and other applications not limited to process engineering. The candidate will design and analyze data collection, compile reports on moderately difficult process engineering experiments, perform hardware characterization on moderately difficult systems, measure film properties, and interpret data by adapting machine learning or artificial intelligence methodology. **Background** The ideal candidate for this position should have a Master's degree. They should possess knowledge and experience in data processing with a focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence methodology to improve products or services. The candidate should be able to solve complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions, work independently with minimal guidance, and act as a resource for less experienced colleagues. Materials Science or engineering data science background is preferred. **Key Responsibilities** + Improve worker efficiency by automating repetitive data sorting and trend finding using machine learning models. + Reduce repeated engineering design issues and supplier quality issues through data analysis. + Increase the adaptation of AIx through effective data analysis models. + Apply machine learning methodologies to other applications, not limited to R&D engineering. **Qualifications** **Education:** Master's Degree **Skills:** **Certifications:** **Languages:** **Years of Experience:** 2 - 4 Years **Work Experience:** **Additional Information** **Time Type:** Full time **Employee Type:** New College Grad **Travel:** Yes, 10% of the Time **Relocation Eligible:** Yes **U.S. Salary Range:** $100,000.00 - $136,500.00 The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
