Process Engineer III
OVERVIEW Merrick & Company is seeking a Process Engineer for our Oak Ridge, TN office. Ideal candidates will have a passion for nuclear related design, problem solving and the outdoor lifestyle of Tennessee. The Process engineer will work primarily on cutting edge nuclear facility and energy projects. Successful candidates will be assigned to a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers to execute design and engineering projects. Typical annual pay range for this position is $99,400.00 - $125,700.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams / Process Flow Diagrams / General Arrangement Drawings. Equipment (compressors, chillers, pumps, etc.) sizing calculations. Process line sizing calculations. Control valve, pressure relief-device and orifice sizing calculations. Equipment and Instrument datasheets. Vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment. Review and check the work of other process engineers to determine accuracy and completeness. Coordinate design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering from an ABET Accredited Program. (Other engineering degrees may be considered if candidate shows applicable experience). Minimum of Eight (8) years related experience and/or training. Experienced user of ChemCad process simulator and AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow for hydraulic pipe flow modeling. Candidate must be capable of and willing to obtain a Q clearance. Professional Engineering (PE) License in Tennessee and/or South Carolina. Client projects for this position require US Citizenship.
