This Process Engineer III - Extrusion role is pivotal in driving new process development, troubleshooting, equipment installation, training, documentation, testing, and overall enhancements of our extrusion lines. While extrusion experience is preferred, we value a proactive and innovative mindset.

Responsibilities Support safety enhancement initiatives on the extrusion lines.Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for extruded products.Define and refine pre/post processes to maximize efficiency, yield, and productivity.Provide engineering support by troubleshooting extrusion processes and tooling and defining maintenance requirements.Perform sustaining engineering functions as needed.Support new product development and resolve quality issues.Drive process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma techniques, including FMEA and Design of Experiments.Implement corrective actions in projects and daily operations.Innovate and justify significant product design improvements to reduce costs through alternative materials, redesign, and labor optimization.Be available for travel and maintain a flexible schedule. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of related experience.Hands-on experience with a strong background in manufacturing.Proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving processing and equipment issues.Strong project management skills.Excellent communication and Project management experience, with a team-oriented approach.Proficiency in Six Sigma and Lean techniques.Experience with Design of Experiments and Measurement Systems Analyses.Demonstrated success in improving processes and increasing line efficiencies.Ability to educate and address technical processes.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project).

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced degree in Engineering.Experience in Continuous Extrusion manufacturing.Experience in equipment improvement projects.Over 5 years of hands-on experience in plastic extrusion, preferably with LLDPE/LDPE materials.
