Job Type: Contract (>%3D30 HRS WEEKLY)
Pay Range: $80 - $85
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Display Module Integration Manufacturing Engineer.
Our team's mission is to drive the operational development and execution of New Technology Introductions (NTI) to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) for innovative AR displays and optics solutions [waveguide, uLEDs, Display Projector Assembly (DPA), eye tracking (ET), Rx (prescription lens)] at our vendors/partners.
Our team enables high volume manufacturing by supporting sourcing and engineering in vendor selection, setup, and qualification of MP equipment, setup and qualification of robust MP processes, and improvement of MP yields and OEE (overall equipment effectiveness), to enable lower cost at higher quality.
This will be achieved through collaboration with XFN partners by scoping new manufacturing methods, conceptualizing end-to-end process flow strategies and solutions, designing and integrating factory processes and setup of infrastructure solutions at manufacturing facilities.
The contingent worker will be responsible for critical parts of optics components, module process development and manufacturing at Client's contract manufacturers, and will collaborate with multiple XFN partners to drive for factory readiness at our contract manufacturing (CM) partners.
A minimum of 5 years experience is preferred.
Skills:
Strong technical hands-on experience with optical components/optical module assembly manufacturing.
Experience with high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing, partnering with Asia-based suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Experience communicating and working with cross-functional groups with strong written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities:
Process engineering team - optical assembly like camera of projector assembly
optical module assembly or manufacturing, experience with components to go with optical modules
manufacturing focused team, taking from concept and understanding if its feasible to take to large volume and take it from there
experience in manufacturing engineering, NTI, or technical operations
Must-Have Skills:
Process Engineering, experience with NPI (New Product Introductions) high volume
5+ years of experience with optical component/optical module assembly manufacturing.
Experience with high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing,
5+ years of experience with optical component/optical module assembly manufacturing.
Nice-to-have Skills:
Experience working with contract manufactures offshore
Expertise or experience in technical or structured problem solving
