We are looking for a Process Engineer Specialist to join our EVR team in Savannah, GA.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.
As a Process Engineering Specialist, you will be a key member of the process engineering group, providing support to the three EVR production facilities while focusing on the Savannah site to drive change and enhance plant processes. Your responsibilities will include optimizing existing processes, developing new ones as business needs arise, and prioritizing improvements in safety, quality, production throughput, and cost efficiency.
**As a Process Engineer Specialist, you create chemistry by...**
+ Providing process optimization, troubleshooting, and technical support for Fluid Cracking Catalyst manufacturing to enhance operational efficiency.
+ Managing and executing small-scale projects aimed at improving product quality, increasing throughput, and reducing variable costs.
+ Participating in all phases of plant trial execution, including planning, setup, data generation, analysis, and results communication.
+ Conducting lab simulations of plant processes with minimal supervision to advance the understanding of process and product technology.
+ Acting as a technical liaison, collaborating as both an individual contributor and a team member to support multiple projects.
+ Contributing to the development of new products and providing ongoing technical support for existing product lines while enhancing knowledge of testing methods, applications, and installation techniques across EVR manufacturing sites.
**If you...**
+ Possess an associate degree or relevant technical degree with 2+ years of experience, or high school equivalency with 5+ years of experience in minerals, kaolin processing, or catalyst processing.
+ Demonstrate analytical aptitude and a strong interest in developing basic wet chemistry and analytical laboratory skills.
+ Have experience with statistical process control and familiarity with working in a plant environment, alongside strong troubleshooting and optimization abilities.
+ Understand basic manufacturing unit operations, including tanks, pumps, blowers, vacuum belts, and other equipment essential for plant processes.
+ Exhibit an innate curiosity, a strong technical background, and proficiency in experimental design, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Have a personal history of continuous improvement, teamwork, self-awareness of personal strengths and limitations, and a strong technical/problem-solving aptitude driven by data and results.
