Chemours is seeking a Process Engineer Spring Co-op to join our Technology team! This position will report directly to the Co-op Coordinator within the Process Engineering Group.  

 

As a Process Engineering Co-op, you will work closely with the Technology team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom.  

 

Location: Pass Christian, MS 

Hours: Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week 

Preferred First Term: August-December 2024 

Candidates must be able to commit to at least two (2) co-op terms; preferably three (3) terms. This co-op program consists of rotating semesters where students will alternate between school semesters and work terms. 

First Work Term: Spring, January-May 2025

Second Work Term: Fall, August-December 2025

Third Work Term: Summer, May-August 2023

 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Working with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects 

Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving 

Communicating tests and other ongoing work with engineering mentors, operations, management, etc. 

Participating in process safety management activities and reviews 

Contributing to team meetings and conference calls 

 The following is required for this role:  

 Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a sophomore or junior at time of assignment 

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering 

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint  

 

The following is preferred for this role: 

 3.0 GPA or above 

Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom 

Completion of initial Engineering coursework
