What You’ll Do: 

Our Process Engineering internship offers a unique blend of hands-on experience in both manufacturing and office environments. You’ll be introduced to real-life manufacturing processes, gaining exposure to key areas such as Extrusion, Cabling, Form, and Weld, while assisting with populating data for the Engineering module of FMX. This internship provides the exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments, working closely with both the production floor team and office staff. You’ll develop a well-rounded understanding of the production process, while contributing to meaningful data management and process improvements, making it a valuable experience for anyone interested in manufacturing and engineering.

What You’ll Need: 

Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, General or Process)Rising JuniorFamiliar with the use of a vernier caliper and/or hand micrometerStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage various tasks and projects with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with a diverse teamExcellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills Ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions to all levels of the team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong Computer Skills

Compensation: 

$22.00-$27.00 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience and educational background 

Work Hours/Length of Program: 

The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August Temporary Part/Full Time, targeting 40 hours per week Exact start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules and the needs of the business This is a paid internship 

Working Conditions and Physical Demands: 

This position is based in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and involves working in a manufacturing environment/general exposure to a manufacturing environment. The environment may involve exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, or other factors. Employees are required to abide by PPE guidelines when onsite.

Successful completion of a drug screening and a physical exam are required for this role This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time. Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. May involve moving or lifting items up to 50 poundsAbility to work in a manufacturing setting
