To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Process Engineering Intern located in our Austin, TX site.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the Intern will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting continuous improvement projects for the production of a medical device. Various technical and business skills will be developed through the projects and interaction with different team members and the customer.
What a typical day looks like:
Analyze current manufacturing process, providing data driven improvements on the process area assigned by the engineering managerPresent improvement proposal to engineering manager and team for feedback and approvalExecute, with engineering team support, project improvementsCreate/revise Manufacturing Process Instructions and/or Preventative Maintenance Instructions based on the improvements implementedAttend team meetings and support project work as neededStudent qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:
Currently enrolled Junior or Senior pursuing degree Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related fieldMicrosoft Office SuiteMini-tab or equivalent data analysis toolsSolidWorks or other design software experiencePreferred: Microsoft ProjectStrong verbal, presentation and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, high energy and strong time management skillsStrong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate with othersDemonstrated leadership skills and team orientationAbility to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environmentInternship Program Requirements:
