Job Description
The purpose of this role is to oversee Process Tech Leads, Process Techs, and molding machine processes to ensure the efficient operation of the Molding Department. The Process Engineering Supervisor is authorized by the Director of Molding Operations to carry out the responsibilities and any other duties as directed, with a strong emphasis on the safety of all employees.
ResponsibilitiesFollow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.Ensure quality standards are met on all shifts.Work with the QA team to address issues and determine courses of action.Collaborate with Shift Supervisors and AGL’s to address department QAN’s and TICs.Be aware of major Safety, Quality, and Production issues on the floor and direct the team to resolve these issues.Review staffing and reallocate employees as needed to maintain production.Perform troubleshooting of molding processes, including cycle, cavitation, scrap, regrind program, and PM program.Work with all individuals to set up a Mold Start up Procedure and create a proper check sheet of requirements.Troubleshoot molding processes and secondary operations (robotics, automation, and equipment of special projects).Utilize sound processing and molding knowledge in setting and maintaining process operating parameters of molds, robots, and related support equipment.Maintain mold data, cycle sheet database files, etc.Identify machine and mold inefficiencies related to the condition of equipment.Provide guidance to all Process Technician employees.Ensure adequate training is implemented on all aspects of the department.Review training program periodically to ensure training guides and information are up to date.Work with Technical Trainer Lead and Process Tech Leads to ensure trainees progress through the 2-year training plan.Continue to work with the Technical Trainer to expand the training program.Ensure Process Tech Leads and Process Technicians are aware of expectations and procedures assigned to them.Assist with responsibilities of the Shift Supervisors and AGL’s in their absence.Effectively communicate with all shifts and departments, conducting monthly check-ins with all Shift Supervisors and AGL’s.Assist with scheduled breaks for Process Technicians when help is needed.Maintain staffing files for all shifts.Address personnel issues and coach employees for future growth.Help develop and implement retention activities.Track employee exit interview data and maintain data related to voluntary attrition.Oversee special projects in the Molding Production Department.Essential SkillsInjection MoldingPlastic ProcessingProduction ManagementLeadership SkillsManagementAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent experience in manufacturing.Extensive injection molding experience.Proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct employees.Bachelor’s Degree in Management preferred, Business or Extensive Production Management experience.Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment with a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pre-shift exercise/stretching activity is required before entering the production area unless a written doctor's release is provided to Human Resources.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00
