Process Improvement Director
Location: Alternate locations may be considered. This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
The Process Improvement Director is responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, developing and implementing best practice and continuous improvement initiatives for a business unit.
How you will make an impact:
Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.Researches, develops, and implements related best practices.Serves as internal consultant relative to continuous improvement initiatives.Identifies, develops, leads and implements a wide variety of business improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and profitability of the organization.Coaches project teams on use of tools for assessing people, process and systems performance.Collaboratively partners with regional process improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma and TQM, to leverage common initiatives, eliminate duplication and ensure alignment with our business improvement and innovation value across the enterprise.Establishes and monitors metrics and measurements and teaches managers to use those tools to manage their environment and hold the improvement gains.Establishes cross-organizational relationships that translate into engagements and a track record of establishing and developing adopted practices that improve communications, results measurement, and the engagement management process.Oversee process enablement, including application preparation, configuration, and updates.Ensures alignment of the process to the corporate and IT strategy.Monitor end-to-end processes to ensure optimal overall performance.Work with leadership and key stakeholders to coordinate the various functions/activities to generate business value.Communicate the process’s strategic goals to key stakeholders and working group membersWork with IT and Business teams to enable data access.Create and maintain workflows, automations, analytics, workspaces and forms to support processes.Provide status reports & recommendations for improvement.Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 10 years of process improvement experience with planning, project management, business analysis, and leadership role experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
MBA preferred; Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.Healthcare industry experience preferred.Business/IT analyst with core competencies in dashboards/analytics and metrics/KPIs.Ability to leverage data and AI to support and enhance business processes.Previous experience with workflow management platforms, project management, and Agile methodology.Working experience at the Project Leader, Manager, or Associate Principal level within a national consulting firm; leading major projects at the SLT level of management, coaching and mentoring project analysts, or significant ROI contributions as a leader on numerous concurrent projects strongly preferred.Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.Job Level:
