To help keep up with this growth we are looking for an outstanding Process Improvement Engineer to be part of our Operations team.

Overview

The Process Improvement Leader (PIL) will have overall responsibility of driving improvements at the making, packing, and picking operations, across organization, materials, processes, and equipment at Melaleuca facilities.  PIL’s focus is identifying the largest operational opportunities, and effectively putting plans/teams in place.  PIL’s will leverage extensively Operational Excellence tools to drive tangible SQOCE- Safety, Quality, Operations, Cost and Engagement results.  Reports directly to Site Operations Leader or Site Engineering Leader, dotted to Continuous Improvement Director.  Partners directly with Operations Department Leaders, with Engineering Leaders, and with Maintenance group.  Partners indirectly with Finance (cost accounting), Operations Analytics, Technical Services, Quality, and R&D.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:

Identify critical opportunities within assigned scope of workManage improvement project and activities, from conception through conclusionAlign with organization the objectives and resources needed to drive the improvement planEstablish specific success criteria, timelines, actions, and metrics for the improvement planLead cross functional teams to implement solutions using Problem Solving techniquesDevelop necessary training to increase capability/skills in each operational teamTrack and Measure results from projectsImplement Standard Work Processes to sustain the resultsWork with other facilities worldwide to share and reapply ideas and increase technical efficiency

Qualifications

Recent or upcoming graduateBachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related fieldAbility to work effectively with others on a teamStrong communication skillsStrong desire to learn. Learn and adapts to new situations quicklyProblem solving skillsGoal Oriented/strong work ethicHands-on troubleshooting aptitudeUnderstanding of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management.Experience in Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma principles (visual management, standard work, etc.) is a plusSelf-motivation and a strong sense of ownership and accountabilitySolid organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow throughExcellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels within organizationDependability with exceptional attendance and punctualityAbility to read, write, and follow established operational proceduresAbility to perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.)Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment on a prolonged basis while maintaining safety and quality
