Process Improvement Engineer I
About The RoleThe Process Improvement Engineer I will be tasked with promoting and driving efficiencies throughout the TRR network. This will be achieved by learning processes and using both observed methods and analyzed data to identify opportunities and communicate recommendations. They will partner with the on-site operations teams to find best-fit solutions, and aid in implementations.

What You Get To Do Everyday

Technical documentation- Source relevant information required, recognize and make connections within processes to support clear documentation

Process observations and time studies- Recognize elements to capture, accurately record and summarize findings, identify opportunities inferred from results

Workstation design- Identify inefficiencies, test and implement changes

Engineered labor standards- Collect data for, and develop labor models for low to medium-variance processes

Labor planning- Identify and report on the factors that contribute to process flow

Root cause analysis- Trace back process steps to find the true sources of process disruption through observation or data analysis

Training- Aid in gathering training content for existing and new processes, support in training operators when necessary

Analytic Proficiency- Maintain reporting and documentation with high accuracy as directed, correctly interpret data and how it applies

Facilities design- Create production floor plans based on gathered requirements, propose optimal flows, aid in implementation

Performance management- Understand KPIs and relevant metrics, maintain relevant tools and reporting, use reporting to recommend and drive improvement

Presentation- Effectively communicate findings and answer related questions to audiences ranging up to senior management level

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

Relationship management and organizational planning and project management skills.

Knowledge of continuous improvement efforts and methodology.

Ability to influence clients, suppliers, and peers into adopting Best Practices.

Excellent communication skills- Verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal with the ability to transfer knowledge to others.

BS degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related field required.

Ability to Travel less than 10%

1 to 3 years experience-

Using Lean tools and methodologies

Workspace design using AutoCAD

Capacity planning

Developing work standards

Staff planning and labor modeling

Preferred Requirements:

MOST certification

Lean Six Sigma certification

The expected salary range for this role is $70,786.00-$85,170.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
