Process Improvement Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Promoting a Safe Work EnvironmentResponsible for leading Continuous Improvement Initiatives at the plant level to drive CI at a high levelPosition will provide leadership, planning, technical direction, communication and coaching skills to ensure safe production of high quality food safe products to meet customer needs in the most cost effective mannerAssure all personnel are adequately trained in true root cause analysis, analyzes statistical data to insure process control and improvements are part of the teams core competenciesGather, analyze, and present company performance data to properly identify opportunities for improvements related to plant goals and to insure repeatable process systemsBe able to lead multiple, cross functional and/or cross departmental projects and initiatives and balance the needs of each according to business impactProvide direction in the development and implementation of data collection and analysisGuide and direct members of other departments in implementing changes to improve performanceCommunicate project(s) status to sponsors, stakeholdersPrepares information in a manner that is easily understood, implemented and maintained to create an environment that encourages and rewards teamwork and collaboration, both internally and externallyPromoting and developing good relationships and high morale among production employees, supervisors and facility teamsAssisting and guiding supervisors through the Safety investigation/reporting processMaintaining a good working relationship between all company departments as well as USDA and equipment vendorsUnderstanding and adhering to product and customer specifications and expectationsUnderstanding and adhering to the following programsGood Manufacturing Processes (GMPs)Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCPs)Must be able and willing to travel to other plants to work on projectsOther duties as assigned

This is an on-site position.   This is a safety sensitive position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Process Improvement Manager position should possess the following:

Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in managerial/process roleProven leadership experience in a team environmentStaff management experienceBasic Computer skillsAbility to work successfully in both a team environment and independentlyExcellent work ethic, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to make good business decisions quicklyMust be able to manage projects to a successful conclusionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong listening/comprehension skillsAbility and desire to stay composed and objectiveWillingness and availability to work any shiftWould prefer exposure and understanding of the methodologies including but not limited to 6 sigma, 5S, Lean, OEE, and other.
