Process Improvement Specialist Early Career Development Program (Embark)

Cardinal Health’s Embark Program is an entry-level professional development and capability building program. Through a robust career readiness journey, we prepare participants with the skills to navigate the organization and build connections while providing challenging assignments that aid in growing and owning your career path. The program is geared towards recent college graduates interested in the healthcare industry that are searching for a rewarding career.

What the Process Improvement Specialist contributes to Cardinal Health

Participants identify and execute against performance improvement opportunities, enabling successful transformations across the enterprise, and using contemporary process improvement techniques while building people capabilities. They can be responsible for consulting with internal or external customers and suppliers to assess current business performance, develop recommendations, and implement process improvements utilizing contemporary improvement tools.

Within their role, participants will potentially support the organization in several of the following ways:

Gathers and interprets internal and external customer requirements for a business or multi-business processDriving change by focusing on customers, employees, and processes resulting in a culture of excellenceLeverages value stream activities with complex assessment techniquesCompletes organizational design assessments and analyses across business segments, customers and suppliersLeads and mentors improvements projects in the customer, supplier, or internal environmentAssist with the development and execution of other Lean Six Sigma projects to bring financial benefits, improve customer satisfactions and drive Supply Chain integrity

Qualifications:

For consideration in the Cardinal Health Embark Program, you must meet a combination of the following requirements:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain or a related field, preferredExpected graduation of winter 2024 or spring 2025, preferredKnowledge of supply chain principles, Lean Six Sigma or other improvement techniques, preferredComfortable working in a warehouse environmentPrevious internship experience, preferredStrong leadership, communication and analytical skillsParticipation in extracurricular activities and/or community serviceMust have unlimited work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
