Process Improvement Specialist Level 3

ASRC Federal System Solutions supports the FAA NAS ESS (Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services) contract.  Join our growing team as a Quality Assurance / Process Improvement Specialist III in support of FAA’s National Air Space (NAS) Second Level Engineering (SLE) Compliance and Automation Team.   The NAS SLE Compliance and Automation Team provides engineering and operational processes and tools for documentation, safety risk management and systems security for thousands of types of equipment throughout the NAS.

Responsibilities: 

Edits and manages the publication of diverse engineering publications, including but not limited to technical manuals, orders, and procedures. Tests and provides feedback on publishing processes, environments, and publisher aids. Performs multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of a Technical Manager or experienced professional. Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team and may perform leadership functions for projects/programs and other work activities. Applies experience and advanced knowledge to plan and accomplish assignments. Assignments may require knowledge and experience working across functional and/or organizational lines. Provides guidance to less experienced professionals in day-to-day operations. Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time and helping a Technical Manager and/or team leader to plan. Works with contract and federal employees disseminating information across multiple organizations. Applies considerable discretion to select the most appropriate approach(es) to work assignments or to recommend new approaches. Resolves most problems and work issues independently. May help develop and recommend solutions for complex problems that require the attention of other experienced professionals. Work is reviewed periodically, typically at major milestones and at completion, for policy compliance and alignment with the requirements of projects and/or other work activities. Work activities typically support and are vital to the success of projects and/or activities for one or more organizational units.
