Designs, selects, tests, installs, monitors, modifies, and maintains safe and reliable process automation systems for new and existing facilities. Utilizes process automation systems (PAS) including process control systems (PCS), safety instrumented systems (SIS)/instrumented protective systems (IPS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and associated applications. Optimizes process automation system integrity, reliability, safety, and efficiency.
Supports medium sized clients/customers and makes significant contributions to more complex projects under periodic supervision. General knowledge of the work function and Chevron’s practices.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Provides direct support to Operations in process monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting, turnaround planning, facility integration, and business planning.
+ Lead process improvement work for B&S and manufacturing unit.
+ Optimizes systems on a facility-wide scale. Coordinates cross-functional and multi-area natural teams to address optimization opportunities.
+ Builds process monitoring tools for systems that stretch across multiple units or operating areas.
+ Analysis for any failure of blending ,filling and Zinc reaction batch.
+ Provide continuously guide and support for Zinc unit to realize stable and safe operation.
+ Uses expert knowledge of multivariable control and real-time optimization to implement multi-level control strategies in one or more refineries. Keeps skills up-to-date by doing advanced control projects.
+ Comply with and enforce OEMS management requirements, as OEMS process key role to deployment standard work.
+ Work with regional and global technical team for process improvement activities/projects.
+ Lead HAZOP/PHA/AOA deployment.
+ Understand the integrated risk approach (PSM, RM, Operation etc.)
+ Identifies gaps between current performance and best-in-class. Maintains awareness of industry standard performance.
+ Participate and support audit activities for process control, advanced process control, or PCS technologies
+ Takes a lead role in diagnosing and addressing product quality issues where source of problem is uncertain. Resolves long-standing and ill-defined operational issues.
+ Evaluates allowed operating ranges of process variables and works with Process Controls push to “hard” limits.
+ Provides process engineering support for other functions on high profile issues in their area of expertise.
+ Develops a process basis for a Capital Budget Line Item project. Identifies ideas for capital projects that impacts the overall facility processing scheme.
+ Participates as technical peer functional reviewer (ORR/peer review/TRR)
+ Performs economic evaluations of projects that impact facility-wide operations.
+ Determines innovative ways to shorten the duration of plant cleanups, startups, and regenerations.
+ Develops and conducts training for less experience engineers in the discipline, provide expert counsel before regulatory bodies.
+ Management process team to support operation/OE/maintenance/others and delivery high performance.
+ Supervision and Maintain Plant Process document evergreen, coaching process team
+ Develops process tools/analytics and coaches other Process Engineers on their use.
+ Uses Facility models, process models and technology-specific programs to perform detailed evaluations.
+ Share Lessons Learn and knowledge with his and cross function team.
+ Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
**Job Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
+ More than 5 years of relevant work experience in the refinery, petrochemical or chemical industry
+ Knowledge in Process Design and Engineering
+ Knowledge in HAZOP, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and engineering tools
+ Proficient in excel VBA or other data analytic software
+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and across functional groups
+ Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Mandarin
+ Familiar with ASME & API codes & Standards, and have the new plant commissioning experience will be the plus
