Process Machine Operator
**Hiring for Process Operators** York, Pa $24/hr **Job Description** Process Operators will be working in the 'Process Area' part of the plant. This is a refractory plant that manufactures various types of bricks for high heat applications, not residential homes. The bricks undergo a lengthy process to be created and heat treated before being shipped out to customers. In the Process area, there are ten different workstations. Each candidate will be trained on every station and will rotate through areas, ensuring variety in their daily tasks. **Responsibilities** + Operate and oversee multiple workstations within the process area. + Learn and become proficient in all ten workstations, rotating regularly. + Operate a sit-down forklift and move pallets as required. + Lift and handle bricks weighing between 20-50 pounds. + Perform repetitive lifting and motions. + Conduct basic computer tasks, including data entry and counting bricks and pallets. + Remove tie-ins from pallets of bricks and stack them on different pallets. + Feed bricks into the oven using a lift vacuum for longer bricks. + Stack bricks on pallets and ensure proper size checks. + Oversee robots, attend to alarms, and load pallets of material into machines. + Perform data entry and frequent on-and-off forklift operations. + Operate the shrinking area, use a heat gun to seal pallets, and print shipping labels. **Essential Skills** + Sit-down forklift operation experience. + Basic computer skills for data entry. + Basic math skills for counting bricks and pallets. + Ability to lift 20-50 pounds with repetitive motions. + Strong awareness and adherence to safety protocols. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a manufacturing environment. + Inspection and troubleshooting skills. **Work Environment** Shifts are 12 hours long, from 6 PM to 6 AM. The schedule alternates weekly, with workdays on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday one week, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday the next. The plant has a dress code of long pants and a t-shirt, though uniforms are provided. Workstations are equipped with AC units to maintain a comfortable temperature of around 70 degrees. Some areas of the plant can reach up to 120 degrees, but most areas are fully air-conditioned year-round.
