Process Maintenance Engineer

Education/Qualification

BSEE/ECE or BSME graduate, preferably with two years of relevant manufacturing experience; preferably licensed

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Performs troubleshooting of process machineries and equipment (both electrical and mechanical) during breakdowns/troubles to minimize production downtime. Performs repairs of minor/simple to major mechanical and electrical controls and installations which require thorough knowledge and skills on appropriate equipment maintenance approaches. Conducts regular check-up of process machineries and operating equipment to determine unusual conditions such as voltage and current imbalance, abnormal temperature, abnormal deterioration, vibration contact scaling and to take corrective action as necessary. Mechanical check up refers to but is not limited to tightening of bolts, determination of unusual sound, defective bearing, overhauling motors and gears, belt and chain conditions, greasing of bearing and chains.  Provides instructions and organizes tasks for Process Maintenance Technician during preventive and breakdown maintenance. Defines and designs mechanical requirements (equipment layout, equipment capacities, plant layout, etc.) of meat operations in accordance with current engineering standards and practices.  Reads and interprets mechanical engineering plans. Conducts analysis and computations related to plant equipment sizing using fundamental engineering principles. Uses and operates computer (thorough knowledge and skills in MS office applications, other applications, etc.) in the regular performance of duties.
